Common questions

How do I choose which apps are guarded?

Open the Guard tab and tap Blocked Apps, then Choose Apps. Apple's picker lets you select apps, categories, or websites; DuaDoor never sees their names, only what Apple hands it. Choose the apps that pull you in — a guarded app asks for a du'a every time you open it, so messaging apps are usually better left off the list. You can change or clear the selection at any time.

The shield doesn't appear when I open a guarded app.

  1. On the Guard tab, check the status card says Guarding. If it says Paused, turn on Guard my apps.
  2. If it says Open, a du'a has unlocked your apps for the window you chose (15 minutes by default). Tap Re-lock now or wait for the window to end.
  3. Check Screen Time access: Guard tab, or Settings › Permissions. If it was declined, allow it from iOS Settings › Screen Time.
  4. Guarding needs an active subscription or the lifetime purchase. If the Guard tab says Guarding is locked, restore your purchase (below) or start a trial.
  5. Still nothing? Force-quit DuaDoor, reopen it, and try the guarded app again. If the shield still doesn't appear, email us with your iOS version.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Open Settings in DuaDoor and tap Restore Purchases under Purchases. Make sure the phone is signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. The screen tells you whether a purchase was found.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so DuaDoor can't cancel one for you. On your iPhone go to Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, choose DuaDoor, and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment and has nothing to cancel.

Does DuaDoor collect anything?

No. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no server. Everything stays on your phone — see the privacy policy.
